  • Accessibility means ensuring comprehensive access to different areas of life, combined with unrestricted opportunities for all people. This also applies to so-called digital accessibility, including the website. Clausthal University of Technology has met this legal deadline and has made its website largely barrier-free since September 23, 2020. In addition, a central declaration on accessibility has been published on the TU Clausthal website.

Family service

  • Despite the COVID-19 situation, the children's summer university vacation care took place this year in compliance with the hygiene concept in the week from 17 - 21.08.2020 in the time from 08.00 - 14.00 o'clock. Once again this year, the children were able to take part in many exciting lectures in mathematics, mining and chemistry, among others, as well as other activities. The biggest difference compared to previous years was the lower number of children: due to the COVID-19 situation, only eight children were allowed to attend this year. Some of the activities took place in the youth room of the mountain and university town of Clausthal-Zellerfeld and, where possible, in the fresh air. The press release can be found here.
  • The building application has just been submitted for the new large day care center at Graupenstr. 1 A, which is being set up in cooperation between the Studentenwerk OstNiedersachsen and Clausthal University of Technology. The conversion work should be completed in the summer semester. It is planned that the facility will be used as a large day care center for U3 children in the morning until around 5 p.m. and will be approved by the district of Goslar. After 5 p.m., the facility could also be run by Clausthal University of Technology and the student union, allowing flexible childcare services to be offered by student assistants with appropriate additional qualifications.
