Legal basis

The following laws in particular form the basis for equality work:

Basic Law, Article 3:

  1. All people are equal before the law.
  2. Men and women have equal rights. The state promotes the actual implementation of equal rights for women and men and works towards the elimination of existing disadvantages.
  3. No person shall be discriminated against or favored because of sex, descent, race, language, nationality, origin, creed, religious or political opinion. No one may be disadvantaged because of their disability.
