From the Regulations governing part-time studies (TzO) dated 19.12.2017 states that part-time studies can be applied for if the student is unable to complete full-time studies.
Reasons for this are
- Family activities related to the upbringing of own children up to the age of 18 or care and support of sick and dependent
- family members with assignment to a care degree;
- own disability or serious, chronic illness that reduces the ability to study or the time resources to such an extent that proper full-time study is impossible;
- outstanding social and civic commitment (e.g. high-performance sport, supra-regional musical and artistic activities,
- social, political or trade union involvement);
- participation in student or academic self-administration committees;
- gainful employment of at least 15 hours of regular working hours per week.
The application for admission to part-time studies must be submitted in writing using the Application for approval of part-time studiesto the Registrar's Office before the start of the re-registration period for the following semester (see Section 8 (1) of the Enrolment Regulations).
